Its a lil kawaii otter and hes just exploded straight through a wall. Face front and centre, those massive blue eyes wide open, mouth stretched into a big happy grin. Both paws are gripping the broken edge like hes about to pull himself the rest of the way through. Stone chunks and crack lines radiate out around him. The whole thing reads like a cartoon moment frozen mid-burst.

The fur work is the part I really like. Wilcom laid down directional stitching across the face and ears so the brown tones graduate from warm amber at the top to a pale cream on the chest and cheeks. Theres alot of colour depth in here for what looks like a simple design, 17 colours total including the sandy stone, the dark brown outline fur and the subtle shadow under his chin. And the eyes are done with a navy-to-white satin gradient that makes them properly pop.

I get messages from river otter conservancy gift shops asking about this one. One customer ordered a run on cream canvas tote bags for a fundraising event last october and sent me photos, the otters face lined up perfectly at chest height. She said people kept stopping her to ask about the bag. Kids programmes and nature education centres have been buying it aswell for staff aprons and kids welcome kits.

Hoop onto a stable white or cream cotton for the cleanest result. Pop it on a light sage sweatshirt and the warm browns land beautifully. Skip dark navy here because the stone chunks read muddy on dark ground. Use a firm cutaway stabiliser on anything with stretch since 92k stitches on the biggest 7.5-inch size is dense enough to pull jersey out of shape if the underlay isnt anchored right.

Best sizing is the 5-inch on a tote pocket or the 7-inch across a hoodie chest. Hit me up if the file throws any stitching errors and Ill sort a clean version out.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
