I have a soft spot for owl designs that actually look soft. This one is round and compact with oversized expressive eyes that take up probably half the face, and layered pastel feathers across the body. The feather layers have this gentle scalloped texture where each row overlaps the one below, gives the owl a real dimensional quality once its stitched out. Pastel tones throughout, soft blues, lavenders, and creams, so it sits anywhere without clashing. Its the kind of owl that belongs on a kids room wall rather than a forest painting.
5 sizes from 3.50 in up to 7.50 in wide, stitch counts 20,268 to 47,258. The layered feather fill is where the stitch count comes from, each row is a separate pass so the layered effect stays clean. Cutaway stabiliser recommended on knit fabric, tearaway fine on woven. Medium density throughout keeps the feathers looking soft rather than stiff. Hoop firmly and the large eye details will stitch with the crispness they need to read well on the finished piece.
Nursery pillows and wall hoops are the natural home for this, the round shape and soft palette fit right into most nursery decor themes. A customer embroidered this onto the chest pocket of a baby cardigan and it was exactly the kind of detail that makes a handmade gift feel special. Also works on the front of a kids drawstring bag or a small zippered pouch for a toddler's things. If you're doing a woodland nursery theme this pairs really well with deer, fox, and mushroom designs.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
