Worked on this lil owl for a bunch of ya who wanted something nature-themed that wasnt too serious. Nine colours in this one: warm tawny browns, creamy whites, a soft orange beak, and deep rings around those big round eyes that give it that classic wise-bird stare. The directional feather stitching on the wings is what makes it look real rather than flat, takes alot of care to get the layering sequence right. Last october I had a customer ask specifically for an owl design and this is the one I built from scratch for that request.
Five sizes, 9 colours mapped across all the stops in the sequence. Stitch counts run from 27,369 at the small end up to 62,302 at 7.47 x 7.5 inches. Density is 1112 so this absolutely needs cutaway stabiliser, the bobbin thread pulls hard on anything lighter. I hooped this during testing on a cotton-twill and had zero puckering with a firm cutaway, but ya need good tension on the outer hoop ring or the eye outlines drift. Use a topping on any napped fabric so those eye rings stay crisp. Stitch slowly through the wing feather sections where the colour changes stack up close together. Pop it on a dark navy tote and the warm brown tones look brilliant against the contrast.
Drop me a note if a file wont open for you and Ill get the correct format sorted out quickly.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
