The owl is round and sits square-on, its what gives it that kawaii look. Chocolate body feathers fanning outward in concentric rows, cream face disc, and two big circular eyes with a highlight dot in each one. The wing-tips curve forward and the beak grips a dusty pink flower by the stem, petals fanned out, the whole thing angled like the owl found it and decided it was keeping. The detail in the feathers is done in directional satin sections, so you get actual depth instead of just a flat shape.
Wilcom EmbroideryStudio is what I used for the feather layering, so the chocolate tones stack cleanly without the seam lines showing through. Density sits at 914, solid for the 10-colour sequence across 4 sizes from 3.78 up to 6.31 inches wide. The largest is 43,239 stitches, the smallest is 22,366, so even the small hoop is substantial enough that youre going to need cutaway stabiliser, dont try tearaway if youre putting this on anything with stretch.
A customer ordered the 4.5-inch size last year for a halloween nursery tea towel, she wanted something cute not spooky, this was her pick. The designs well-suited to kraft-coloured tea towels because the chocolate thread reads warm against that natural base colour. Best on a tight weave fabric where the hooped tension stays even through all 10 colour stops.
Skip tearaway on woven towels, cutaway holds the base flat through the colour sequence. Use the 3.78-inch size for bibs and onesies where fabric stretch requires secure backing.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids' bedroom decor tea towels and wall hoopsKraft or natural linen tea towels take the chocolate and cream palette well and the warm base colour flatters both thread colours.
- Toddler onesies and sleep suitsThe 3.78-inch size suits a chest placement on onesies without bunching, and cutaway stabiliser prevents the knit from distorting.
- Nursery cushion covers in neutral fabricsA plain cream or sage cushion cover lets the dusty pink flower be the accent colour in a neutral nursery palette.
- Children's backpacks and school bagsStandard backpack front panels take the medium 5-inch size without crowding the zip pocket below.
- Baby shower gift totes and keepsake pouchesNatural cotton pouches make simple, low-cost baby shower gifts that parents actually use at home.
- Classroom teacher aprons and craft bibsApron chest placements in the 4-5 inch range look polished without being too detailed for a work garment.
- Woodland-theme birthday party shirtsWhite or pale yellow cotton jersey shirts take all 10 colours at full intensity for a bright birthday look.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
