Its a puppy face hooped right in the centre, chocolate thread for the fur and those big round eyes, and then radiating out from behind it are these loose paint splash blobs in 5 colours and nine different sizes of splatter. Some are chunky rounded drops, some are the thin streaky kind you get when you flick a brush. The effect is like someone photographed the dog right as an art project went sideways, and honestly thats what makes it work. Theres a lil gap between the face and the splashes so the puppy reads clearly even at the smaller sizes.

Wilcom EmbroideryStudio mapped the splash zones cleanly across 11 colours and 3 sizes, routing jumps so you dont end up with trims mid-face. The density sits at 1218, which is firm enough that the chocolate satin sections on the ears hold their shape but not so heavy the splash blobs go stiff. The largest size comes in at 6.89 by 7.5 inches and 62,920 stitches, so ya need good cutaway stabiliser and a stable machine tension before you start.

One customer asked for this specifically to personalise a lil dog groomer's tote, said her clients started recognising the logo at pickup. White pique polo shirts take this design really well because the high contrast between the white base and the chocolate face pops without you needing to adjust thread colours. Use topping on the pique surface if yours has a pronounced texture, it keeps those fine splash edge threads from sinking.

Pair with medium-weight cutaway for polos and bags. Add a water-soluble topping layer on textured pique to keep the splash detail sharp on the outer edges.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Dog groomer uniforms and work polosThe 5-inch version sits well on a polo left chest without crowding the collar, and the bright splash colours make it readable from a distance.
  • Pet shop tote bags and branded merchandiseCanvas totes in natural or white carry the chocolate and colour palette cleanly without any thread-colour shift.
  • Kids' backpacks and lunch bags for dog loversThe smaller size fits a standard backpack front panel and the cartoon style suits kids 3-10 without looking babyish.
  • Puppy-themed birthday party teesBright cotton jersey in white or pale grey takes all 11 thread colours at their intended tone for a punchy party shirt.
  • Canvas pouches and pencil cases for art-loving pet ownersPouches in natural canvas or white drill cloth let the splash colours pop the way the design intends.
  • Vet clinic staff shirtsClinic staff shirts in white or light blue let the chocolate face read clearly against the pale base fabric.
  • Dog training class sweatshirtsMedium-weight fleece or sweatshirt fabric with cutaway backing holds the stitch density without puckering on repeated washing.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
