Painted up the palm trees sunrise and waves as one breezy summer scene. Two palm trees lean off a tiny sand island on the right side of the frame, fronds spread wide. The sun rises out of the ocean on the left in big yellow spike rays. Five seagulls cruise across the sky in a loose V. Wave lines roll along the bottom. Light, airy, full of holiday feel.

Light density throughout, around 386 stitches per inch squared which is uncommon for a five-colour scene this size. Each frond is a directional satin column running outward from the centre stem so they catch the light like real palm leaves. Trunk uses a tan tatami fill with subtle brown ridges digitised into the bark texture. Sun rays are simple satin spikes radiating out, and the waves use thin running stitches that lay almost flat on the fabric. Only 14k stitches on the biggest size so its real real quick on a Tuesday afternoon.

I drew this for beach apparel and seaside gifts. The small lands at 2.4 by 3.5 inches and the big at 5.13 by 7.5, so itll fit a tee chest, a beach tote panel or a kitchen tea towel border. People keep ordering this in summer for honeymoon gear and beach house housewarmings. A customer ordered the 7-inch last june for cotton dinner napkins she gave at her friends wedding rehearsal at a coastal resort.

Best on natural cotton, sandy linen, light denim, oatmeal canvas or pale french terry. Cream, soft sand and dusty sage backgrounds let the green palms stand out without overpowering the yellow sun. Skip black or dark navy, the soft yellow rays disappear against deep colours. Avoid heavy fleece, the open line work just kinda gets buried in pile fabric.

Pop a light tearaway under the hoop with a piece of cotton mesh stab if youre going onto loose woven linen. Density is gentle so you dont need a heavyweight cutaway here. Skip topping for woven cotton, the line work is open enough that it dosent need it. Send me a quick message if a wave line drops and Ill rework that section for ya same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
