Big fluffy mama panda sits front and centre, arms slightly out, with baby panda nestled right under her arm like shes holding on tight. Both of them are smiling, proper cartoon grins, no teeth, just that simple happy curve. The mamas got those big round periwinkle-blue eyes with white dot highlights, chunky black round ears and a broad white muzzle. Baby is a smaller version of the same design sitting low on the right side, barely comes up to mamas shoulder.

Eleven colours go into this one, a lot for a two-tone animal, but the tonal breakdowns are what make it look lush rather than flat. The black patches arent a single fill, theres three or four shading colours blended across the eye rings and the rounded ear fills so you get that furry round dimension. Paw pads underneath are a warm honey orange, a nice contrast against all that black and white. The stitch count on the big size hits 123,817, which puts it in the top tier for complexity. Give yourself a full hour for the largest hoop.

Sizes go from 4.5 by 4.32 inches up to 8.5 by 8.17. Nine sizes in total. Stitch this on a heavy stable cutaway, no shortcuts with that density. Go slow, around 550 to 600 SPM, and use a size 75/11 needle so the heavy fills lay flat and dont perforate the base fabric. Skip fleece or velboa, the fine shading detail disappears in fluffy pile. White cotton canvas or ivory linen are your best bets.

People have been ordering this one for nursery cushions a lot lately and I always say thats the right call, the shading gives it a proper 3D look that you dont usually see at this price point. I got a big order last month for a set of kids room pillows, all in white minky. They stitched out brilliant.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Nursery cushion centrepiece on white minkyStitch the large size on white minky fabric, back with a heavy cutaway, and sew up a nursery cushion that looks like it came from a boutique baby store
  • Kids bedroom wall hoop in a large 10-inch frameMount the biggest version in a 10-inch natural wood hoop on ivory linen and hang it as a centrepiece above a nursery dresser
  • Baby shower gift bag or wrap panelAdd the mid size to the front panel of a white cotton gift bag for a baby shower, fill it with muslin cloths and a plush panda toy
  • Toddler hoodie back panelPlace the 6-inch on the back of a pale grey toddler hoodie as a bold back print that still looks hand-made
  • Panda-themed birthday party tote bagEmbroider the 5-inch on a craft-show tote and fill it with panda-themed goodies for a kids party favour bag
  • Soft toy gift tag embroidered patchStitch the small size on a firm felt square, add a loop of ribbon and attach it to a plush panda as a personalised gift tag
  • Newborn quilt centre blockUse the 7-inch as the centre block of a white cotton baby quilt, surround it with simple geometric prints in black and cream
  • Children's bedroom pillow shamAdd the large size to a pillow sham on a toddler bed so the panda pair greets them every morning

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
