Heres one of those paper airplane designs that just makes ya smile when you see it stitched out. A simple black outline plane up in the top right corner, and trailing behind it is a really really pretty curving swoosh of pink hearts in all sorts of sizes. Sweet without being too cutesy. Last valentines a customer ordered 4 of these for handmade card kits her daughter sold at school.
The plane is clean black satin outline only, no fill, with the folded paper crease lines showing through so you can tell its made of paper not metal. That minimalist plane against the bunch of solid hot-pink filled hearts is what makes the whole thing pop. The hearts use directional stitching so they sit smooth on the curve.
Big hearts, small hearts, tiny lil hearts, all kinda swirling together in an arc that pulls your eye down and to the left. Theyre filled solid in bright pink so they read as one connected stream not separate dots. Its got real movement, you can almost feel the plane flying off the fabric.
Stitch on white, cream, soft mint or pale grey cotton so the pink hearts sing. Skip black or navy unless you drop a white satin underlay first or the pink goes muddy. Avoid stretchy knits at the larger 6.84 inch size, the heart cluster gets dense and pulls thin jersey.
Pop it on cotton tees, totes and 14 inch pillow covers. Run a medium cutaway stabiliser on woven cotton, double layer if your fabric is light. The design has 9 sizes from 3.19 to 6.84 inches, 2 colours, max 17,773 stitches, no fussy thread changes.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
