Pulled this together for the paraprofessionals who do so much of the actual work in a classroom and almost never get a proper thank-you. The whole design is built as a heart silhouette where every word filling the shape is a quality that describes a great para: COMMITTED, CARE, heart, praise, guide, inspire, support, help, calm, nurture, cool, kind, professional. Some are in black block letters, some in black caps at angles, and then scattered among them are pink versions of the key words. Sitting right in the middle of it all, big enough to be the centrepiece, is Para in a wide flowing pink cursive. Its the kind of design where you recognise every word and cant help but nod along.

Small pink hearts dot the gaps between words to soften it and give breathing room. Without those the tight word packing would look crowded, but with them it reads properly balanced. Two colours only, pink and black, which makes thread management simple. The density is 573 stitches per square inch and the large size tops out at 22,110 stitches, so its on the heavier end. Use a medium-weight cutaway on wovens. For fleece or knit fabrics use a sew-in cutaway instead of tearaway so the dense fill doesnt distort the heart shape edges.

Comes in 4 sizes, 3.09 by 4.51 inches at the smallest up to 5.14 by 7.51 at the biggest. That tall heart proportion means the large version works well as an apron front panel or a tote face. The medium size fits neatly on a shirt chest. A customer last autumn ordered six of these for her whole aide team and said every single one cried when they opened them. Pick the small 3-inch for a mug mat or a zippered pouch if youre working on a budget-friendly gift set. Ive seen people pair that with a set of hand creams and a thank-you card and it looks like a proper gift shop bundle. Reach out if youre wanting to confirm which size works best for a specific item before you order.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • End-of-year teacher aide appreciation gift shirtsEmbroider the medium size on a grey or white shirt and give it to the para at end of year; its the kind of gift that actually gets worn to school rather than left on a shelf
  • Para personalised canvas tote bagsA customer ordered 6 of these on natural canvas totes for her entire special-ed aide team; each tote was personalised with the paras name on the strap using a simple font
  • School staff lunchroom apron giftsThe large 5-inch works as a centrepiece on a canvas apron; gift it with a set of good pens or snacks tucked inside a matching pouch for an extra-thoughtful touch
  • Classroom volunteer thank-you pouchesStitch the small 3-inch on a zippered pouch and fill it with hand cream and chocolate for a low-cost but meaningful volunteer thank-you that costs under ten dollars to make
  • Special education department fundraiser shirtsFor a special-ed fundraiser shirt run, this design works well on both light and dark fabrics; just swap the black thread to white for dark shirt backgrounds
  • Back-to-school welcome gift for new para hiresStitch it on a canvas bag and fill with school supplies as a first-day gift for a para starting a new position; it sets a warm tone from day one
  • PTA or parent group appreciation-week giveawaysPTA groups have used this as one of their go-to appreciation week items; the heart shape photographs well and always gets reactions from parents in group photos
  • Para desk accessory hoop framed artThe medium size in a 5-inch round hoop on cream linen makes a neat desk piece; one customer added a small frame stand and her para cried when she got it

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
