Nine colours in a tight cluster and you can tell from across the room. Black outline around every balloon, then yellow, magenta, orange, red, dark blue, pink, aqua and white filling them in. The ribbons gather at the bottom in a neat bundle. Bold, saturated, the kind of birthday design that actually looks like a birthday - its not subtle and its not trying to be.

Ten thread stops total including the outline runs. Each stop is straightforward, no tricky layering, just work through the sequence and each balloon fills cleanly. The satin density inside each balloon is deliberately high so the colours stay solid even at the 2-inch size - wash it a dozen times and it still looks the same. A customer who makes kids birthday shirts told me last spring its been her most reordered design, she goes through it every few weeks during party season.

Six sizes, 2 to 7 inches. Use the 2-inch for pockets and cuffs. At 7 inches stitch it centered on a jacket back or a birthday banner panel - at that size each colour really pops against a white or light base fabric. Use cut-away stabiliser on stretchy knits at the large end, the stitch count at 28,000 is too dense for tear-away on anything with stretch. On woven cotton a medium-weight tear-away works fine. Hoop tight and keep the fabric taut before you start.

Reach out if you have questions before you begin and I'll point you in the right direction.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
