Its a fluffy cartoon cloud sitting at the bottom and a rainbow curling up behind it, and around the whole thing theres maybe eight or nine little stars scattered out like they just burst off the arc. The stars are all outlined in black with those loose sketchy strokes, each one filled in a different pastel shade so no 2 look quite the same. Pink, peach, mint, soft orange, powder blue. Kinda like someone drew it with markers on a rainy afternoon and didnt overthink it.

And the cloud itself has that classic rounded bumpy silhouette with a black outline that wobbles just slightly, not perfectly smooth. The rainbow behind it is done in three soft arcs and the colours shift from blush at the outer edge through to mint near the centre. Six colours total, 5 colour changes in the stop sequence. Wilcom digitised the fills with a light open density so the fabric breathes through and doesnt pucker up on the fluffy sections.

I get alot of messages from baby boutique owners and nursery decorators about this one, especially last christmas when kitted bibs and nursery hoops were selling really well. One customer ordered 12 on cream cotton onesies as a lil gift set for a baby shower and sent me photos of the whole lineup. They were gorgeous. Stitch count runs from just over 10k on the smallest 3.5-inch size up to about 20k at the full 7.5-inch.

Use a soft tearaway stabiliser on quilting cotton or interlock jersey for the best result. The open stitch density at 377 keeps it light, so it sits flat even on thin onesie fabric. Pair the small 3.5-inch on a bib or pocket and the large 7.5-inch on a nursery cushion cover or canvas tote. Skip dark fabrics here, the pastel fills really need a white or cream ground to show up properly. Holler at me if the file doesnt load on your machine and Ill sort it out for ya.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby shower gift onesiesStitch the 3.5-inch on a cream cotton onesie and stack 3 in a row across the chest for a sweet baby shower gift set.
  • Nursery wall hoop artHoop the 7.5-inch in a round 8-inch frame and hang it above a cot for a soft nursery focal point that doesnt shout.
  • Kids room cushion coversEmbroider the medium size on a white cotton cushion cover and place it on a nursing chair for a quiet dreamy vibe.
  • Toddler bib embroideryPop the smallest size on a white terry bib so the cloud sits right at the chest, easy to see from across the room.
  • Baby boutique tote bagsUse the 5-inch size on a canvas tote for a baby boutique welcome bag, pairs well with ribbon-tied tissue paper.
  • Childs birthday party teesIron on cutaway backing and stitch the 4.5-inch on a pale yellow kids tee for a birthday morning outfit.
  • Fabric gift wrap panelsRun the large size on a cotton muslin panel and use it as a reusable gift wrap for newborn bundles.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
