This pastel rainbow is small and gentle, three nested arches with two chunky pink hearts at the ends acting like lil anchors. Outer arch is bubblegum pink, middle arch is warm tangerine orange, inner arch pink again, theres thin white gaps between each band. Then a filled pink heart sits at each foot of the rainbow where the arches touch down, the hearts give it a kind of footing and balance the whole shape.

Two colours, soft pink and orange thread, and the 4 sizes run from 1.27 inch up to 3.79 inch. Stitch counts are 1,428 at the smallest size and 6,344 at the biggest, so even the largest runs in under 7 minutes. Density sits at 371, which is reasonable for nursery work but Id still recommend a light cutaway stab on knit fabric, the heart shapes carry alot of fill in a small area. I digitised it in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, sketchy satin underlay on the arches, the hearts use directional tatami so the pink reads even.

One customer ordered the 1.27-inch version in february for valentines day baby bibs, she stitched it on cream cotton terry with mesh wash topping. She told me the pink was just right against the cream, soft enough but still visible from a metre away across the room.

Best fabrics: cream, white, pale grey, soft mint or sage cotton jersey. Avoid red or burgundy fabric, the pastel pink wont read. Pop tearaway on woven cotton, mesh wash on stretchy jersey. Skip terry without water-soluble topping or the pink will sink into the loops. Add medium cutaway behind anything stretchier than basic cotton, the heart fills want a stable hooped base.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
