The rainbow here is soft and rounded, a proper arch shape with bands of pastel colours layered from one side to the other, and little hearts either sitting at the top of the arch or scattered lightly around the curve. Its not your usual rainbow with harsh bright colours, the palette is pastel all the way through, peach and lavender and mint tones that feel gentle and nursery-appropriate. Four thread changes total and the satin coverage on each band is smooth with solid underlay so the arcs stay defined even on stretchy baby fabrics.
I digitised this in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio with density at 705, which is on the higher end for a nursery piece but its needed because the colour bands are narrow, plus the stitch direction across the arch keeps those edges clean between colours. Five sizes from 2.01 inches wide up to 6.01 inches, heights 1.83 to 5.47 inches, and stitch counts from 4,599 at the small size up to 23,183 at the largest. Layer a lightweight cutaway for baby items, and especially on onesies and baby bodysuits you want that soft backing that wont irritate newborn skin. Lay wash-away film on top if youre working on minky or waffle knit for the nursery.
Baby shower gifts are where this one lands most of the time. A customer texted me last spring saying she stitched the 4 inch version on a white minky blanket for her sister and it looked better than the boutique stuff. Im honestly suprised how many people text about this one, it just works for gifting. Pop it on white, cream, blush or sage cotton and the pastels all read clearly.
Use the 2 inch size on the chest of a newborn onesie, the 4-5 inch on a burp cloth panel, and the full 6 inch on a cot bumper or nursery cushion cover. Avoid dark navy or black base fabric because the pastel colours get lost.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
