Pastel rainbow with three nested arches and a little dotted line of hearts running along the top edge. Outer band is a soft pastel blue, the middle is cotton candy pink, and the inner band shifts to a deeper purple, theyre nested cleanly inside each other. Each arch sits cleanly inside the next with smooth rounded ends rather than the classic six band kids rainbow.

Theres a sweet row of small hearts dotting the upper curve, around 14 hearts total alternating between pale rose and lilac purple. The hearts sit just above the outer arch like tiny floating bubbles which softens the whole shape. Honestly the rounded end on the inner arch is what gives this rainbow that modern look.

So I drew this for modern nursery decor, minimalist baby shower gifts and gentle pastel pieces. A customer wrote me last month asking for the 4.the 5-in run on a cream muslin swaddle for her sisters baby shower, came out really clean. Im also seeing it on pale grey baby memory books and soft pink nursery wall art.

Comes in 5 sizes from 2.88 to 6.18 inch wide. Stitch count runs 5,445 at the smallest up to 16,337 at the largest, which is alot lighter than a full band rainbow. Just 3 thread colours used, pastel blue, soft pink and purple. Density sits around 352 which is realy gentle so it stitches fast aswell.

Stitches cleanly on cotton, muslin, fleece, linen and soft jersey. Skip dark base fabrics for the bigger sizes because the pastel colours can lose contrast on navy or black. Use a tearaway on woven cotton, switch to cutaway for any baby jersey. Message me if a file refuses to open and ill take care of it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Newborn muslin swaddlesCream muslin swaddle, the 5 inch version, the three pastel arches fit any neutral nursery without fighting the colour scheme.
  • Pastel nursery hoopsNatural linen hoop frame, largest size, the rounded inner arch gives this a modern feel rather than the classic kids rainbow.
  • Modern minimalist baby decorModern minimalist cot pillow with the name embroidered below the arch, a personal piece that goes on the shelf later.
  • Baby shower gift bagsSoft pink baby shower gift bag with cream drawstring, the smallest rainbow sits above the tie without overpowering the fabric.
  • Soft pink pillow casesPale pink bedroom pillow case, the medium size pairs with a small repeating heart motif stitched on the back panel.
  • Cream memory book coversBaby memory book cover in cream linen, the gentle stitch count means it finishes in one session and the result is precise.
  • Pastel baby bibsCotton baby bib in the smallest size, low density means it stitches soft and doesnt create a stiff patch against the chin.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
