Pulled this one together around fourth of july last year, alot of requests coming in for patriotic dog stuff and the pitbull specifically kept showing up. Its a straight-on portrait of the face, blocky and solid the way pitbulls actually look, with a stars-and-stripes bandana sitting right up on top of the head. The star section is dark blue satin fill with white star shapes, and the stripes swoop off to the right in that classic flag wave. Black outline work carries the whole face, ears, nose, brow lines.
Four colours total: dark blue, white, red, and black. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, runs from 13,949 stitches sized to 4 inch up to 26,701 at 7 inches. Density sits around 709 so its not packed too tight, which honestly helps alot on stretchy fabric. Had a rescue volunteer customer order it for pitbull-mom shirts, said it stitched out clean on her cotton jersey. Back it with polymesh on fleece for clean results. Dont skip the stabiliser or the outline shifts on you.
Use a cutaway for knits and fleece. Stitch the flag headwear section on a hooped piece of medium-weight cotton first if youre testing. Pop it on a sweatshirt chest for the best proportions at the 5-inch size. Skip the tearaway option on anything with stretch, the dense outline work will pull. The satin columns on the bandana area need a smooth underlay pass first or you get those little gaps where the directional stitches dont sit flat. And keep your bobbin tension even through the colour changes, there are 3 stops in this file.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
