Its the full heraldic eagle, not just wings spread over a flat background. The bird faces forward with wings arched up and out, a shield on the breast with navy at the top and vertical colour stripes below, and a banner running along the bottom. Stars sit in the open space above the wings.

Seven colours makes it the most complex build in the patriotic range I do. Brown for the body feathers, a lighter cream for the breast and crown, navy for the wing edge sections and the shield chief, crimson and ivory for the shield body fills, gold for the beak and talons, plus a darker shading tone for feather depth. Stitch count goes from 14,857 at 3 inches to 48,490 at 7 inches. Five sizes total and the detail holds across all of em.

Customers who order this one are usually doing premium custom work, not a basic shirt run. One customer told me she used the 6 inch version on a wool jacket back for a veterans celebration event, the detail held and she got questions about where the jacket came from. That doesnt happen with a flat design.

Choose a cutaway stabiliser for this one regardless of fabric type. The feather density is high at full size and tearaway wont support it properly. Hoop snug. Watch bobbin tension all the way through because the 7 colour sequence means a lot of thread swaps, dont rush those.

Skip dark base fabrics since the cream and gold tones need light contrast to read properly. Stitch on white, navy, or natural canvas for the best result. Message me if you need the file re-sent or you hit a format issue, Ill get it over to you quickly.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Premium patriotic custom jacketsThe 6 or 7 inch size on a wool or canvas jacket back makes a premium patriotic piece worth the extra stitching time.
  • Veterans celebration event apparelStitched on a polo or oxford shirt collar area for a veterans ceremony it reads formal and respectful.
  • Formal patriotic polo shirtsA 5 inch version centred on a plain navy polo works for a patriotic fundraiser or civic organisation uniform.
  • Patriotic wall art hoop framesMounted in a 7 inch hoop with navy or cream backing it makes a wall art piece that frames without a frame.
  • Custom military appreciation giftsThe 4 inch version on a custom shirt paired with a name and date makes a military appreciation gift that holds.
  • High-end 4th of July shirtsOn a premium fitted tee for a 4th of july event the detail at 6 inches makes it stand out from basic prints.
  • Patriotic baby nursery hoopsA small 3 inch version in a nursery hoop above a crib works for a patriotic americana themed baby room.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
