Standing gnome, tall floppy hat with the tip flopping over to one side. Top half of the hat runs in candy-cane red-and-white stripes, the wide brim underneath flips to royal blue with five white stars stitched in across the front. Big white beard pours down the front of his body, hides his mouth completely, and only the round peach nose pokes out between hat brim and beard.

His blue tunic body holds a small American flag in both hands, flag waving gently with crimson stripes and a navy union with tiny stars in the corner. Tan stick-thin pole runs down behind his body. Two black oval shoes stick out at the bottom. Honestly its giving small-town hardware store window-display energy, the kind put out every June and packed away mid-July.

Sketch-fill on the body and hat gives it the texture, youll see directional stitch lines running through the red stripes and the blue body. Stars on the brim use a tight white satin so they pop against the royal blue. Beard layers cream and white satin with that lil natural fluff to it. Ten colours total but most stops are small, the brown pole shows just 184 stitches at the tiniest hoop size.

Smallest version runs 19,911 stitches at 2.27 by 3.5 inch, biggest is 49,480 stitches on a 4.86 by 7.5. Density sits heavy at 1357 stitches in each square inch so this is a thick stitchout. Hoop on 3oz heavy cutaway and dont try this on a flimsy poly tee. Stitch on cream cotton, oatmeal, soft white, denim or pale grey, all of those let the red and royal blue jump. Skip red or blue tee fabric because the flag and body lose contrast.

One customer in Vermont wrote me last summer about running the 6 inch hoop across a dozen cream cotton kitchen towels for a 4th of July inn welcome basket, theyd sold out before the holiday weekend even started. Dm me direct or drop a note in email if your machine pulls thread on the dense crimson stripes, ill drop the density and reupload a softer-running file.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
