God Bless America is one of those phrases that needs the right type treatment to not feel either too stiff or too casual. This version uses what looks like a combination of script and block lettering with USA flag color detailing in the letters themselves, plus stars framing the composition. The script elements give it an elegant pull while the star and flag color detail keeps it firmly patriotic. Its a design that works for both the solemn and the celebratory sides of American holidays.

No dimensions on file but a layered text and star composition like this typically reads best at 3.5 to 4.5 inches for all the lettering detail to sit clearly. The flag-fill lettering sections need their density kept at default so the stripe detail inside doesnt break down. Use tearaway on woven cotton or canvas, cutaway on knit or stretch. Run lettering sections at medium speed and check your top tension before starting.

This works on a wide range of items. Tees, sweatshirts, hats, tote bags, seasonal home decor cushions. A customer ran it on the front of a canvas wall hanging for her living room and it looked like something from a boutique home goods shop. Also a natural for patriotic event merchandise or church July 4th celebration items.

Shoot me a chat note if the script sections are breaking on your machine and Ill sort it out fast.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
