The heart here isnt just red. Its filled with the flag, stripes running across the interior and the blue canton tucked into the top left lobe. Fireworks pop from the top of the heart, rays spreading up and outward, and small stars scatter around the whole piece.

4 colours and really really dense stitch work. The flag fill inside the heart has to follow the curve of the heart shape so the stripes aren't straight across, they arc slightly. That adds stitches but it also keeps the design looking intentional rather than a flag dropped onto a heart silhouette. Six sizes from 4 to 8 inches. Stitch count goes from 21,658 at the smallest up to 50,176 at the full 8 inch size, so this is a substantial digitised piece.

I get orders for this one from customers doing 4th of july couples shirts and holiday fundraiser tees. One customer wrote me this past june saying she put the 7 inch across the back of matching hoodies for her family and it was the most commented piece she'd taken out on the holiday.

Stitch it on white, cream or navy for the best read. Use a cutaway stabiliser under everything, the stitch density in the heart fill is high and tearaway wont hold it flat.

Check bobbin tension going in and again halfway through on the larger sizes. The stripes need even pull to lay without ridging.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • 4th of July couples shirtsThe 7 inch version on the back of matching hoodies makes a bold holiday piece for the whole family.
  • Patriotic family matching hoodiesOn the front of a couples set of plain navy tees it reads as both patriotic and affectionate at the same time.
  • Holiday fundraiser tee designsFor a fundraiser shirt run the 6 inch version on a white tee is eye-catching enough to drive the purchase.
  • Patriotic baby shower giftsA small version on a onesie or bib makes a patriotic gift set for a baby born around the 4th of july.
  • Patriotic wedding decor pillowsStitched on a cream linen pillow it becomes patriotic decor that works year-round and not just one day.
  • Custom 4th of July tote bagsOn a canvas tote with a name alongside it makes a holiday giveaway gift that actually gets used.
  • Kids patriotic dress or top frontOn the front of a girls dress or top the combination of heart and flag reads festive without being heavy.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
