The heart is the centrepiece and its filled with the full American flag treatment, red and white stripes running across it and the blue star canton sitting in the upper left corner. A thick black swoosh curves right through the middle of the heart like someone painted it on in one stroke. Then the whole thing explodes outward. On the left side a paint-splash burst in steel blue fans out wide, and on the right side the same splash hits again but in hot pink. Together the two splashes make it look like the heart just cracked open and threw colour in both directions.
Its a pretty modern take on the patriotic heart, nothing grandma-quilt about it. Kinda leans street-art or festival merch energy. The flag section inside uses fine horizontal satin columns for the stripes, thats where the stitch count lives, 10,900 on the smallest 3.5-inch and up to 31k on the 7.5-inch. The splash wings are done in loose scatter stitching so they stay light and dont pack the fabric down at the edges.
I sell a bunch of these around 4th of july obviously but honestly I get orders all year for it. One customer bought it last november for a veteran appreciation event, said the heart-flag combo hits diferent than the straight eagle designs. She runs a custom apparel booth and told me it sold out faster than anything else on her table. Cant argue with that.
White, cream or black tees are all solid choices here. On white the sky blue splash really pops. On black the red and hot pink absolutely sing. Skip mid-tones like heather grey, the splash detail gets muddy. Try the 6-inch centred on a tee front or the back of a denim jacket. Pop the small 3.5-inch on a baseball cap or a tote pocket for a lower-key version. Wont disappoint.
Use a tearaway stabiliser on stable cotton and a cutaway on denim or twill. The dense flag stripe section in the heart centre needs a firm hoop and a 75/11 sharp needle. Ease speed slightly on the satin columns so the stripes stay straight. Anything weird with the download just message me and ill get it fixed.
