Three patriotic layered hearts fanned out like a hand of cards, each with its own thing going on. The back one is a navy field carrying white star scatter. Behind that theres a second heart showing red and white diagonal stripes. Then the front one, sitting lowest, is red with black leopard spots layered on top. Thick black outline on all three, they kind of spill into each other at the edges.
Its a lot of pattern in a small space but it reads really clearly even at the smaller sizes, the contrast between the navy and the red stops them blurring together. The leopard print on that front heart is what I like best about it, gives the whole thing a bit of attitude. Last 4th of July I had loads of people ordering this one specifically for denim jackets and canvas totes. Four colours in total, smallest 3 inch, biggest 7 inch.
Back it with cutaway on stretchy fabrics, the density is high enough that a tearaway can pull at the edges during hooping. Stitch on mid-weight cotton or canvas and youll get the sharpest results, the satin outline around each heart stays crisp and the directional fill inside each one really shows the different textures. Skip very light pastel backgrounds if you want the leopard spots to read, they need that red base to be dark enough.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Patriotic summer tees and tank topsThe high contrast between navy and red means it pops on white, grey or cream tees without extra outline work.
- 4th of July hoodies and zip-upsLooks great centred on the chest of a zip-up hoodie at the 5-6 inch size.
- Custom denim jackets with a back or chest patch feelThe layered stacked look gives it a patch-style feel that suits denim really well.
- Tote bags for July 4th markets and fairsBold enough to carry a plain canvas tote on its own without any extra lettering.
- Patriotic throw pillows with a bold popThe five-to-seven inch range fills a standard cushion cover front panel nicely.
- Red, white and blue baseball capsFits a cap front cleanly at 3 inches with the black outline keeping the edges sharp.
- Kids holiday outfits for cookouts and paradesThe 3-4 inch sizes work well on kids shirts without the leopard detail getting lost.
- Gift items for friends who love bold American-style piecesWraps well with a complementary red or navy thread colour on the gift item blank.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
