Heres the patriotic popsicles set and theres three of em lined up. Left popsicle is solid red with a blue star-spangled band wrapping the middle and white vertical cuts down the body. Middle ones white with red horizontal stripes running across, real flag-stripe vibe. Right popsicles got the classic flag canton up top, blue with white stars, and a red dripping bottom that looks like the ice is starting to melt down the side. Tan wooden sticks poke out the bottom of all three.

So the colour palette is just four threads which is wicked simple to run. Tan brown handles the sticks, white covers the flag stripes and stars, red does the heavy lifting on two of the popsicles, royal blue carries the cantons. Wilcom handled the digitising so the star fills lock into shape even when sized down small. Middle popsicles the hero of the bunch, gotta say, those horizontal red bars on white cotton just hit different.

One customer last june wrote me about the largest run, said she was prepping matching family shirts for a July fourth beach reunion and asked if the melting drip would render clean on white pique cotton. It did. The red drip across the right popsicle is whats giving the whole set its summer feel, not just patriotic. Im getting messages every june and july from folks doing the same kid-tee project.

Stitch on light cotton or pique so the design reads sharp. Try a white tee, cream onesie, light grey shirt or natural canvas tote. Avoid black backgrounds because those bright stars lose contrast and the tan sticks vanish. Stay off thick fleece aswell, four solid fills get bulky on heavy fabric.

Stitch totals come in at roughly 50,054 on the biggest run and 18,282 way down on the small. Knit tees and onesies want medium cutaway behind em. Canvas takes tear-away, frame snug, ease the underlay along because the white star fills go puckery if the cloth shifts. First crack at this kind of summer hoop run? Try the 5 inch run first instead of the full 7, small chest panels carry the proportion better and the melting ice drip still pops crisp.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
