The stripped-back option in the patriotic range. Theres no animal, no lettering, no flag layout here. Just a bunch of five-pointed stars in crimson and navy scattered together in a loose cluster, different sizes, overlapping at odd angles. Its the kind of thing that reads patriotic without spelling it out, which is why it pulls double duty for late May holidays aswell as the fourth.

Two colours, scarlet and blue. The stars layer on top of each other so where a scarlet star overlaps a navy one youre seeing the two satin fills meet, and the digitising handles that with a slight underlay offset so the upper star doesnt compress the lower fill. The density is lower than the busier flag designs at 323 average, which makes the machine run faster. The 3-inch version finishes at 6,273 stitches and the 7-inch at 15,284, suprised how quickly even the large size runs. A customer wanted these for a fourth of july tote bag set this past june and said both the red and blue stitched sharp on natural canvas.

Square the hoop before you start, the stars have a horizontal fill direction and if youre even a few degrees off the fill lines read diagonal instead of horizontal and it looks wrong. Use a medium tearaway on woven cotton and a light cutaway on a knit blend. Pop the 7-inch version on a throw pillow cover for an easy seasonal decor piece. Avoid stitching on a red ground fabric, the scarlet stars just disappear entirely.

  • Scatter placement across the shoulder of a denim jacket
  • Kids summer tees and onesies for holiday cookouts
  • Throw pillow covers for summer entertaining decor
  • Tote bags with a repeating star pattern layout

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
