This is the kind of truck design you'd expect to see on a classic American dad's favourite hat. Its an old style pickup, tall and narrow with that stubby cab shape you dont see on modern trucks, and every panel of it carries the flag. The cab fills with deep navy blue and white stars, the truck bed runs red and white stripes horizontally like the flag laid down across the bed frame, and even the hubcaps have a five-pointed star pressed into the centre of each wheel. Drop the blue stake rails along the bed top and you've got the full flag reference without a single actual flag in the image.

Six thread colours total: navy, red, white, dark grey for the tyres, black for outlines, and a lighter blue for the bed rails. Stitch counts go from about 12,800 at the smallest size up to 33,000 at the largest. Five sizes available, running from just under 2 inches wide all the way up to nearly 4 inches wide and 8 inches tall. It's a portrait orientation design, taller than it is wide, which I've found people love for hat front panels and shirt chest placement.

Stitch it on heavy cotton, denim, or canvas. Use a cutaway stabiliser for caps and knit fabrics. For woven fabrics like canvas bags, tearaway works fine. Skip very thin fabric because the satin density in the cab and bed sections is high enough to cause puckering. Pop it on the front of a 5-panel cap for a classic 4th of July hat that reads instantly without lettering.

I get people ordering this one well into August, not just for the 4th. Drop me a note if you run into any download issues and Ill get it sorted.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • 4th of July baseball caps and bucket hatsAt the 3-4 inch size centred on the front panel of a baseball cap it becomes a standout 4th of July hat.
  • Patriotic tee shirts and polosOn the left chest of a plain navy tee it makes a clean patriotic shirt without competing with other graphics.
  • Denim jacket chest or sleeve patch placementStitched on the upper sleeve of a denim jacket it works well as a badge-style detail for country or patriotic looks.
  • Canvas tote bags for summer marketsA mid-size version on a natural canvas tote makes a summer market bag that gets noticed without being loud.
  • Patriotic aprons for cookouts and grillingOn a heavy cotton apron it adds personality for outdoor cookouts and 4th of July family gatherings.
  • Country-themed gift pouches and bagsThe portrait proportions fit nicely on a small gift pouch front panel for a patriotic country-themed present.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
