This patriotic wreath took me a while to work out because the concept sounds simple but the execution is actually quite involved. Its a circular floral arrangement, sunflowers and daisies around the ring, but every single petal carries a flag element. The petals on the upper-left portion fill with deep navy blue dotted with tiny star shapes, and the rest of the petals alternate red and white stripes. The centre disc of each flower mimics the canton pattern, with the blue field on one side and red stripe bands across the rest.
You end up with something that is both a proper floral wreath and a genuine flag tribute. Neither half overwhelms the other which I think is what makes it work. Stitch counts run from just under 29,000 at the 4 inch size up to over 62,000 at 7 inches, so this is a heavier piece and your machine'll be running for a while. It needs 4 thread colours: navy, red, white, and black for outlines. I get messages every June from people who've stitched this on denim jackets and say the satin petals look almost three dimensional from across a room, which honestly is what sold me on the dense fill approach. Its one of those designs that doesnt look like much on screen but really rewards the effort when its stitched out.
Stitch it on denim, canvas, or thick cotton. Skip lightweight shirt fabric at the bigger sizes because the satin density will cause puckering. Heavy cotton tees work fine at the 4 inch size. Use a cutaway stabiliser for any stretch fabric. For woven canvas bags or denim, tearaway is the better call. Pop it on the back of a jacket or centre it on a tote and the patriotic theme reads clearly without needing anything else around it.
People stitch this for Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and military homecoming gifts too, so its not just a one-week design. Holler if you have any trouble with the download and Ill sort it for you.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- 4th of July tee shirts and tank topsCentred on a white or navy tee it makes a strong patriotic statement that doesnt look like a novelty print.
- Patriotic tote bags and canvas pouchesStitched onto a natural canvas tote it holds up beautifully and becomes a reusable 4th of July bag people actually keep.
- Denim jacket back panel centrepieceAt 7 inches this fills a denim jacket back nicely, the kind of piece that gets noticed at a parade.
- Memorial Day and Veterans Day gift itemsThe combination of flowers and flag colours works for Memorial Day and Veterans Day, not just Independence Day.
- Patriotic throw pillow coversOn a red or navy pillow cover the design pops and the colours coordinate without extra effort.
- Military homecoming gift towels or bagsA mid-size version on a cotton hand towel makes a thoughtful homecoming or welcome-back gift.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
