Nine colours, 4 sizes from 5 to 8 inches, and more props than any sensible gnome should be holding. Theres a red heart-shaped balloon on the left with USA written inside it, a star-patterned fireworks rocket in the other hand, sparkler bursts going off on both sides, and little boxes and props piled up at the bottom. The hat is tall vertically striped in red and ivory with a gold star badge pinned to the front. Nine colours including dark red, powder blue, orange, grey, and sand for the face. Its a lot going on, which is exactly the point.
Run cutaway beneath this one, the stitch density is high enough that tearaway will pull under the heavy fill areas. Hoop the fabric drum tight before you start, any slack in the material and youll see registration drift between the sparkler bursts and the main gnome body. Follow the colour chart closely, the powder blue and orange are small accent stops but swap in the wrong shade and the face tone goes off completely. Stick to the chart. At 5 inches the detail holds up well, Im suprised every time I see it run that small.
