Three colours and it doesnt need more than that. The dove shape is that instantly recognisable mid-flight silhouette, wings angled upward, tail spread downward, beak pointed left carrying a small olive branch. White satin fill inside the body, thick black outline running the whole perimeter. Wings have individual feather-edge detail in the outline work, 3 distinct sections on the upper wing and a scalloped fan on the tail.

The olive branch is where all the colour comes in. Forest green leaves, 9 of them, each with a visible midrib stitch running through the centre, arranged on a small curving stem tucked into the beak. Stitch the 7.51-inch largest size and each individual leaf is big enough to see its own fill direction. Use the small 3.51-inch version and the branch reads as a clean green cluster without losing its shape.

I get quite a few orders on this one around spring and early summer. Theres been a run of baptism and confirmation event orders where the client wants something symbolic without being overtly religious. One customer earlier this year ordered the 4.14-inch size and the small hoop ran on a batch of 30 white canvas bags for a christening celebration. She said guests kept thinking the bags were printed not stitched, which Im gonna take as a compliment.

Best on navy, sage, or cream fabric where the white body has contrast. Skip white fabric because the white interior fill disappears. On black the body really pops but the outline blends slightly so go up one size. Tearaway stabiliser works on woven cotton and linen since density at 557 is moderate. Watch the tension through the wing edge satin columns since thats where most of the stitch density concentrates.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
