Heres the peeking bird and its got serious personality. The cartoon bird pokes its whole head and one orange clawed foot around the side of a brown tree trunk, like it just spotted you and froze mid-step. Two giant googly eyes carry the whole show, one circle way bigger than the other, with deep blue irises and tiny white shine dots that sit on top in satin.
The body uses soft teal blue with darker blue and a bit of green streaked through the feathers. Pink touches sit around the cheek area too which i didnt expect to work but it realy does. Directional satin stitching gives the feathers a fluffy read instead of a flat patch. Bold black cartoon outlines pull the whole thing together.
I drew this for kids stuff mainly. Last christmas a customer sent me photos of these stitched onto her sons 4T tshirts and that suprised cartoon face had every kid in his daycare laughing. Also works on bird watcher gift totes and nature-themed nursery pieces. The orange beak and feet pop hard against the cool blue tones.
Stitch on white, pale grey, soft yellow or cream cotton so the teal feathers show up clean. Skip black or navy fabric, the cool body fill gets swallowed. Pop a brighter teal swap on the body if you wanna run it on dark fabric anyway. Avoid heavy patterned cotton, the 12 colour mix needs a calm background.
Use a heavy cutaway stabiliser, no skimping, especially on knits. The eye area carries alot of stitches because the gloss highlights need density. 9 sizes run from 3.5 to 7.5 inches, 12 colours, max 71,035 stitches. Run polyester thread on the directional feathers so the colours hold up wash after wash.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids tshirts and toddler topsOn a 4T tshirt the bird sits chest height and the kid has a friend on their shirt all day.
- Nursery wall art and pillow coversStitched on a 12 inch pillow this works great over a crib, the eyes catch the babys attention right away.
- Bird watcher gift totesBird watchers love this on a canvas tote, its goofy enough not to feel like serious wildlife art.
- School backpacks and pencil pouchesSized to about 5 inches it fills the front pocket of a small backpack without crowding the zipper.
- Embroidered baby blanketsSoft minky baby blanket takes this design surprisingly well, the directional stitching stays smooth.
- Library tote bags for kids reading cornersReading themed library totes look fun with this peeking around a corner spot, kids get a kick out of it.
- Birthday party favour bagsA row of these on cotton favour bags adds personality to a bird themed birthday without going matchy.
- Quilted nursery throws and crib sheetsCentered on a quilt block the bird leaves room for sashing and stays the focal point of the whole piece.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
