Just the top of a cats face peeking up over something, big round eyes wide open, triangle ears, whiskers sticking out sideways. You dont see the rest of the cat, just that top half of the face looking suspicious and curious at the same time. The design runs very narrow and tall, 1.99 to 4.25 inches wide but 3 in through 7.5 inches tall depending on size, which is what makes it work so well on pocket edges and hem lines where youd never fit a wide design.
I digitised this in a single colour with satin fill for the face shapes and thin running stitches for the whisker lines and facial details. High density at 801 means the face sections are solid and well-defined even at the narrowest 1.99 inch width. Because its single colour you can go any thread shade you want, dark thread on light fabric or light thread on dark background. Ive done black on white, white on navy, and even rust orange on oatmeal which looked kinda brilliant.
Pick pocket corners and pocket tops on jeans, shirts and jumpers for placement. Pair tearaway plus topping woven fabrics and cutaway on knit or stretchy items. The 10,399 stitch count at the small end is manageable but dont skip stabiliser on thin cotton or youll get puckering around the eye sections. My cat customers go absolutely mad for this one, I get orders year round from people who want the cat peering out of their shirt pocket. Last week someone ordered three sizes in the one download just to try them all.
Stitch on cotton, denim or canvas. Best results on white or cream fabric where the single thread colour shows cleanly without needing topping. The 4.25 inch size works as a patch on a denim jacket chest pocket.
