Its just the tops of two cats peeking up into frame, ears up, big wide eyes looking straight at you. Kinda like when your cats sit behind the couch edge and just stare. I made this one because I get so many requests for cat designs that feel personality-driven rather than just a standard cat silhouette sitting there. This one has actual expression and that peeking peeking energy that cat people absolutely recognise. 6 colours, stitch count from 4,749 on the smallest to 9,087 on the largest size.

9 sizes, running from 3.5 inches wide at the smallest all the way up to 7.5 inches wide, heights between 2.2 and 4.71 inches. Its a wide horizontal shape which is gonna work really well across the front of a tote bag or along the bottom hem of a shirt. Density is 257, which is light and airy, so you wont have any stiffness or texture problems on soft cotton or jersey. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio and the colour placement on the cats eyes and ear tips is really precise for a design this small.

The 6 colours are going to need careful thread swaps but em are all pretty straightforward if you lay em out before you hoop. Use a medium cutaway stabiliser to recognise the stretch if youre putting this on jersey or fleece, tearaway works fine on canvas tote bags. Try cream or white fabric as your base, the cats colours really pop on a light background and you wont want to bury the eye detail in a dark fabric. Pop a piece of topping over terry cloth or any loopy fabric so those fine eye stitches sit on the surface properly.

Customers use this on everything from pillow covers to kids backpacks. A customer last week put it on a set of linen placemats as a gift for her sister who has two cats, and she sent me a photo that honestly made my day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
