Its a split monogram pencil frame, which is one of those designs people keep coming back to every august and september. The pencil runs vertically, bright yellow body, pale eraser cap at the top, dark tan wooden tip at the bottom. A big hot pink bow is tied right around the middle of the pencil, looping out to both sides with a small yellow oval in the bow knot. The pencil body splits at the bow so theres a clear open gap in the centre where you add a name or initial in your embroidery software before stitching. Without the text it works fine on its own as a standalone design too.
6 colours: yellow for the main pencil body, hot pink for the bow, pale rose for the eraser, tan for the wooden tip, black for all the outlines, and a small yellow accent in the centre of the bow. 5 sizes from 3 inches wide up to 7 inches. Stitch count goes from 5,589 on the smallest up to 18,444 at the biggest. Density is 543 which sits nicely in the medium range, so a good tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabrics works here. Use cutaway if youre hooping stretchy fleece or jersey.
And this one sells all year honestly, not just back-to-school season. I get orders from teachers who want their name on a personalised tote, and from parents making gifts for their kids teachers right before the school holidays. One customer from texas messages me every may to order a batch of 5 on small canvas zipper pouches. She does a different name on each one for the teacher team at her daughters school.
Stitch on white, cream or light grey cotton or canvas. The yellow really pops on pale neutrals. Avoid anything darker than a medium grey because the tan pencil tip details wash out. Use the 3-inch size on a small pocket patch or a pencil case front, the 7-inch for a tote bag or apron. Hoop tightly so the pencil stays straight and the bow lobes sit even.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
