Twelve little penguins huddled in a pyramid stack with one cheeky one perched right on top, only 3 colours so its quick to stitch. Every penguin has the same curved closed-eye smile, small orange beak pointing a different way, and theres orange feet sticking out at the base of the pile. Looks like a proper family hug.
Only 3 colours keeps this one simple despite the size, black for the body and head, white for the chest and tummies, orange for the beaks and feet. The outlines done in thick directional satin so each penguin reads clearly even tho they overlap. Density tops out around 38k stitches at the largest size.
I get loads of orders for this round the holidays especially leading into christmas. Last december a customer Dm me asking about stitching it onto matching family pyjamas, did 4 of em across mum dad and 2 kids. Theyd ordered the 5 inch size for all four. Dm me if you want help sizing for sets.
Stitch on cotton fleece or jersey for childrens shirts and pyjamas, the satin outlines hold up fine on stretch fabric if youve got a cutaway stabiliser ready. Skip thin silky fabrics, the dense black areas will pull the weave. White, cream, light grey, soft pink fabrics all work well.
9 sizes from 2.79 to 5.98 inches wide, height up to 7.5 inches cause of the vertical pyramid composition. The 5 inch versions a sweet spot for kids tees, 7 inch and up works for pillow covers and quilt panels.
