Line art on fabric is harder to pull off than people think. You cant just digitise an outline and call it done because running stitches on woven fabric will sink and disappear if theyre not set up right. This peony design uses a controlled satin stitch for the petal outlines so the lines actually stay visible and crisp, with a density of 685 keeping things from getting too heavy. Three colours, blush pink petals, sage green stems and leaves, and a cream base that lets the design breathe.
Sizes run from 3.51 inches at the small end reaching a full 7.51 inches wide, stitch counts from 18,339 up to 38,041 at the largest. A customer who makes wedding table linens messaged me this spring asking which size works best on white linen napkins. I said the 4-inch build and a light tearaway stabiliser underneath since the fabric is so fine. She said the result was clean enough to sell at her market stall. Reach me if youre working on something unusual and Im happy to advise on stabiliser choice.
Avoid using a cutaway on sheer or lightweight fabric because it will show through from the back. Pair this peony with a tearaway on most wovens, or use a medium water-soluble backing on silk if youre going very fine. Add a simple name or monogram alongside the bloom for personalised gifts. Hoop your fabric with even tension because any pulling will distort those fine petal outlines. Use the 3.51-inch size on a shirt collar or cuff where space is limited.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
