Sketched the perfectly imperfect quote, its got a calm self-acceptance vibe. The word PERFECTLY runs across the top in bold black serif caps, arched gently up like a smile. A small bright red heart sits dead centre underneath. Beneath the heart, the word imperfect flows in black flowing cursive script with a long tail trailing off the F. Two colours total, black and red, gallery-poster minimal.
The serif caps up top use a chunky satin column with proper old-school serif feet, gives the typography that vintage letterpress feel. Cursive imperfect underneath is digitised as a continuous rope satin so the connecting strokes dont break, even on the smallest size. Heart in the middle uses a tight bright-red satin fill with no outline, kept tiny on purpose so it dosent compete with the typography. Honestly its a calm modern quote piece without the saccharine.
Customers been buying this one for self-care merch, journal covers and milestone-birthday gifts since last winter. One customer ordered five of em last february for her therapy practice, hooped each on a cream linen wall hoop and gave them as session-completion gifts to her clients. She said thats the kind of quote that lands so well alot of em ended up framing the hoops in their homes. Smallest size is 3.51 by 2.48 inches, biggest is 7.51 by 5.29.
Pick a smooth woven cotton, light linen or canvas for best results. Cream, oatmeal, sage and pale dusty pink backgrounds let the black serif and cursive read sharp. Skip dark navy and black bases as the black typography will dissapear straight into a dark fabric. Avoid stretchy jersey too, the connecting cursive strokes warp easy on stretch ground.
Density runs medium at 374 stitches per square inch, around 14k stitches at the largest hoop, properly clean for a 2-colour design. Use a medium cutaway stabiliser, hoop firmly, and float a layer of water-soluble topping if youre stitching onto looser linen. Run a test stitch on the smallest version first, the cursive lettering can warp at tiny scales. Calm low-stitch-count piece overall.
