Twelve colours in 8,949 stitches is an unusual combination, usually high colour counts mean high stitch counts too, but this design keeps the density at 172 and relies on clean colour blocking rather than heavy fill to get all those bottle variations in. I had a customer ask for something for a halloween bartender costume last year, and this is what I made, each bottle reads as its own little character, which is kinda the whole point.

With twelve colour changes you're going to want to organise your bobbins before you start. Run through all 12 colours once on scrap fabric first, at density 172 each section is manageable but you dont want a tension issue showing up halfway through on your actual garment. Back with medium cutaway on any knit or stretch fabric. The label sections on each bottle use a satin fill with a running underlay that I kept directional on purpose so the labels feel like they have a slightly raised paper quality. On woven canvas or cotton, tear-away works fine. Hoop with a topping on any pique or polo fabric to keep the small label text columns clean.

People are going really hard on this one for halloween party shirts, bartender costumes, trick-or-treat bags, and even as a panel on halloween kitchen towels. The playful multi-colour palette makes it one of those designs thats clearly halloween without being too dark or scary, so its popular for kids items and adult party wear equally. Stitch the whole thing in muted tones on natural linen for a more apothecary-aesthetic fall look that works past october. On items you plan to wash regularly, run a colour-catcher in the first couple of washes to catch any excess dye from the darker thread colours.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
