Two colours. And yet this file gets more questions than almost anything else I sell because people aren't sure if it'll stitch out correctly at small sizes with that much density. at chest 3.5 the count is 2,025, and running the 7.5 inches youre looking at 76,106 stitches. Density 210 is high, genuinely one of the higher-density files Ive done, and Email me if you want to know the exact sequence. Dont skip the underlay pass before the main fill or the green satin will sink into the fabric base rather than sitting on top.

I digitised this in Wilcom with each tree layer stitched at its own directional fill angle so the depth reads in the composition. One customer ordered a run of hiking club hoodies last october and sent a photo of the olive fleece result, it was genuinely impressive how well the forest silhouette read from a distance. Use a firm cutaway on any fabric, woven or knit, because with density 210 the piece will cockle in the hoop if the stabiliser is too soft.

Each tree in the composition stitches at a slightly different satin angle to the ones behind it, front trees face the viewer differently to the background trees, which creates the layered forest feel without needing extra colours. Run it on dark or mid-tone fabric for maximum contrast because pale or white fabric kills the pine green completely. Stitch the 7.5-inch version across a jacket yoke and the whole landscape reads as one piece. Pick a medium machine speed on the tightly-packed fill passes to keep your tension steady.

Cotton, canvas, fleece, all work. Dark olive, navy, charcoal or forest green bases all suit this design well. Email me through the shop contact if you need a single-tree variant of this design and Ill prep the file.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Hiking jacket back yoke panelHiking jacket back yoke, 7.5-inch spanning the full panel, the tree silhouette reads like a woodcut print on dark olive canvas.
  • Canvas backpack front designCanvas rucksack front, 5-inch, cutaway holds the 210-density build without buckling, charcoal base makes the pine green really stand out.
  • Outdoor cap front embroideryBeanie panel at chest 3.5. The horizontal treeline shape fits the front panel width neatly without cutting into the crown.
  • Camping gear tote bagMens flannel shirt, chest area, the two-colour simplicity reads as a considered patch rather than a complex stitch-out.
  • Mens flannel shirt chest patchOutdoor gym duffel side panel, 5.5-inch on thick canvas, one firm cutaway layer, the design survives regular outdoor gear handling.
  • Woodland nursery wall hoopWall hoop display framed on linen, large size, the 210 density makes the trees look like they have actual weight when lit.
  • Fleece blanket corner motifFleece blanket corner at 5-inch, cutaway plus a topping sheet, or those edge trees will sink into the pile and blur.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
