The fairy sits in profile, head bowed slightly, hair pinned up with a flower tucked in. Her wings fan out behind her in this big butterfly shape, and Wilcom gave the wing panels these really pretty lacy satin fills with feathered edges so they dont just look like flat pink blobs. A thin circular arc sits behind her like a moon halo, and a cherry blossom branch climbs up the right side with open blooms and buds at different stages. Its kinda just elegant, honestly.

5 colours total. The main silhouette body is solid black which gives the whole thing strong visual anchoring. The wing sections are split between a hot pink and a softer blush pink depending on placement, and the blossom petals pick up those two pinks aswell. A pale grey-mauve sits in the background circle. Colour changes total 4, stitches range from 16,749 at 3.51 inches up to 37,544 at 7.51 inches. The density is high so the wing fills are nice and lush.

I made this one originally last autumn for a mum who wanted a fairy design for her daughters ballet bag that wasnt too babyish. She specifically said no cartoon fairies, she wanted something her 10-year-old would still think was cool at 16. So I went silhouette with the botanical elements and honestly Ive sold way more of these to adults for their own projects than to parents.

Stitch on white or very pale grey for the strongest contrast. The black silhouette needs a light ground to read properly and the pink layers need something pale underneath so they dont muddy. Use a stabiliser with a bit of firm support under those feathered lace sections because the directional satin fills need solid backing. Cutaway works best on any fabric with stretch. Reach me if you need help matching thread to a specific background colour and Ill advise ya.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
