After finishing this one I actually stitched it myself on a linen hand towel and it lived in my kitchen for months. Five colours, deliberately minimal -- two pinks, sage green, cream for the vase and a dusty terracotta shadow at the base. Simple. Five sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inches, stitch range 18,370 to 46,839.
Density at 863 stitches per square inch which is on the softer end -- thats what keeps the petal fill from going stiff on cotton. The vase body uses satin stitching with a proper underlay, so you need a good stabiliser behind or the base warps on thinner fabrics. Use a tearaway on quilting cotton or linen, cutaway on any stretch. One customer was suprised at how soft the finished texture felt on their kitchen apron, she expected it to be stiff like a patch and it wasnt at all.
Honestly five colour stops make this one of the faster designs to stitch on machines with manual colour changes. Pink, pink, green, cream, terracotta -- done. Pair it with white cotton, natural linen or pale sage fabric for best results. Skip very dark base fabrics -- the cream vase body loses contrast. I recieved a photo last week from someone who stitched the 7.5 inch on a raw-edge linen table runner and it looked really lovely. Add a topping on waffle-weave towelling if youre going onto textured fabric.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
