Three poppy blooms on one branching stem, each at a different height, the tallest sitting up slightly above the others. The petals are that soft dusty pink with deeper mauve shading at the base where they wrap around the centre, it gives each bloom a little depth and roundness rather than just a flat circle. The seed pod centres are small and round with a tan-brown satin fill, very realistic. Feathery leaves run down both sides of the stem, the leaf edges are finely cut and detailed, its honestly my favourite part of this design.

Radial directional stitching on the petals runs from centre outward, so the thread direction catches light differently at different angles, it looks genuinely nice on cream linen. Nine sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inch wide, smallest being roughly 2.21 inches tall, the largest coming in at 4.74 inches tall. Stitch count runs from 9,217 on the small right up to 21,565 on the biggest. Medium density overall so most machines handle it without drama.

I made this one partly with memorial embroidery in mind, poppies have that association with remembrance and I get messages from customers ordering for november projects, stuff for veterans day events and armistice day commemorations. Its also very popular for mothers day gift items, a customer sent me photos last spring of this one stitched on a cream handkerchief she gave her nan, it came out really well.

Stitch on white cotton for a crisp botanical print feel, cream linen gives it a warmer vintage character. Try it on sage or soft grey fabric and the dusty pink reads even softer. Skip anything busy or patterned, the feathery leaf detail needs a plain calm ground to show properly. Use tearaway on stable woven cotton, switch to cutaway if youre hooping jersey or canvas stretch. Hoop the stem direction vertically and keep tension steady through the long thin satin columns on the stem itself, those are the sections that pull if the hoop shifts. Bug me on chat if something stitches funny and Ill have a look.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
