Designed last february for a customer who wanted something small and sweet for valentines day gifts. Two little hands, pinky fingers locked together, done in 2 colours with clean satin outlines and almost no fill. Heres the thing about low-stitch designs like this, the underlay matters alot more than people realise. Because theres so little thread coverage, any gaps in the underlay show straight through. Run a light cutaway stabiliser under knit fabrics and youre good.
Seven sizes from 3.5 inches wide up to 7.5 inches, stitching out between 552 and 1,095 stitches depending on size. And yes those are genuinely low numbers, its a line-art design, mostly satin columns rather than dense fill sections. Density is 5 on the PDF which is about as airy as it gets. One customer ordered a batch of these on linen tea towels for a bridal shower and the recipient group was suprised how neat they came out at the small sizes.
Pair it on a pocket, a tote corner, or the cuff of a shirt sleeve. Use it as a centrepiece on a small gift tag hoop, or stitch the 7.5 inch version across the front of a pillow cover. Pop it on a onesie chest panel for a baby shower present. The design works on light and mid-tone fabrics best since the outline colours need contrast to read clearly. So just keep that in mind when picking your base cloth. Holler at me if a file format doesnt work on your machine and Ill send over whichever one does.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- valentines day gift card hoopsStitch the 3.5 inch size inside a small flexi hoop for a card-style wall gift, works on cotton muslin.
- bridal shower tea towelsThe 5 inch size sits perfectly on a linen tea towel corner, use cutaway stabiliser for the weave.
- couple matching shirt pocketsRun the 4 inch size on a shirt chest pocket, stabiliser under and satin thread matches any fabric colour.
- baby onesie chest panelThe 3.5 inch fits a standard onesie chest, hoop with tearaway and iron-on backing for stretch knit.
- small tote bag corner accentBottom corner of a canvas tote looks great with the 4.5 inch size, no topping needed on tight canvas.
- friendship bracelet gift wrapping hoopSmall 3.5 inch on cotton muslin, frame in a mini hoop and attach to ribbon for a gift tag look.
- pillowcase cuff trimStitch the 6 inch version along a pillowcase hem, centre it or repeat twice for a symmetrical finish.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
