Pulled together a quote design for the cat-obsessed crowd and its a genuinely loud one. Reads Just a Girl Who Loves Cats across five staggered lines, words split across orange bubble letters and teal script so theres rhythm between the chunky and the loose. A solid black cat silhouette sits right in the middle of it all, tail curling left, facing away like hes completely unbothered. Six colours: orange, teal, black, blue, yellow and red. Its busy in the best way.

The orange letters are a thick satin fill with a subtle rounded outline, theyre the sort that reads from across the room. Teal script runs diagonally on just a Girl and who, which breaks up the weight nicely. Around the feline silhouette theres three blue daisy flowers, each one a proper filled centre in yellow with radiating petals. Small red hearts are tucked in at both sides, maybe 4 of them, scattered symmetrically. Each element has its own colour lane so nothing bleeds into the next. At 23k stitches on the largest size theres real coverage throughout.

Ive done a pile of cat designs and this one sells consistently in october and november when people are looking for gifts. The 3.51-inch smallest size still holds all 6 colours cleanly. A customer sent a photo last december of the 7.51-inch on a sweatshirt and it genuinely looked like something shed paid a premium embroiderer to make.

Run on medium-weight cotton, denim or canvas. White or pale grey backgrounds are safest since youve got 6 colours that need space. Avoid busy prints underneath, theyll eat the orange and teal. Use a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser and float the piece on knits rather than hooping direct. Keep tension slightly looser on the orange fill sections since theyre covering a lot of ground and too-tight tension can pucker lighter fabrics. Drop me a message if a colour skips or runs out of sequence and Ill resend a corrected file.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
