The wolf is portrayed head-on with that direct stare that really really makes the design work. The fur around the ruff and face fans out in layers and the digitising uses proper directional stitching throughout, each zone stitched at its own angle so you get that depth where it looks like actual fur sitting on top of fabric. Amber-gold eyes, dark nose, its the kind of wolf portrait that actually looks like a wolf rather than a cartoon placeholder.
Seven colours and 9 sizes. Smallest is 3.5 by 3.07 inches, the largest is 7.5 by 6.62 inches. Stitch count goes from 18,777 all the way up to 48,873 stitches on the big version. Density is 984 so its a solid mid-high stitch weight, use cutaway stabiliser throughout the size range and dont skip that step.
My customers who do wildlife and outdoors apparel order this one regularly. She ordered four of the large 7 inch versions for mens hoodies last autumn and said the charcoal-on-black result was exactly the moody look she wanted. I been digitising wolves for years and this one gets the eyes right more than most. Youll notice the amber highlights in the eye zone especially on larger sizes.
Stitch on denim, fleece, heavy cotton, canvas, or wool blend. Skip light fabrics at the large sizes. Use a medium to slow machine speed on the dense ruff sections to avoid thread breaks. Dont use fabrics with alot of surface texture that would compete with the fur detail.
Pick a dark base colour and let the design contrast against it. Charcoal, black, navy, forest green or deep burgundy all work. Choose the large 6 or 7 inch size for jacket backs, go mid-range for chest placements, and dont overthink it.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Wildlife jacket back panelA 7 inch version centred on a black or charcoal fleece jacket back is exactly what this wolf was digitised for.
- Outdoors brand merchandiseOn outdoors brand merchandise like caps or tees the wolf portrait reads as authentic wildlife art rather than generic print.
- Men's sweatshirt chest placementA 5 inch chest placement on a dark sweatshirt is a strong look for anyone who loves wolf and nature imagery.
- Forest-themed throw pillowOn a charcoal or navy throw pillow the forward stare of the wolf makes a dramatic centrepiece for a lodge-style room.
- Hunters gift bagStitched on a canvas bag with forest green or brown base colour it makes a distinctive gift for hunters or hikers.
- Nature-lover canvas toteOn a tote in charcoal canvas the wolf portrait is bold enough to carry the whole design without any extra elements.
- Gothic or dark-aesthetic apparelFor darker aesthetic or alternative fashion the wolf on black denim or dark fleece fits naturally as wearable art.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
