The pug face is in three-quarter turn, looking slightly up and to the left with that one big amber eye. Its got the full pug personality in there. The forehead wrinkles are stitched in directional fill so they actually read as folds, not just colour blocks. The muzzle area goes dark charcoal grey, the classic black-mask markings that pug owners know well. Fawn body coat, cream on the chest and inner snout, thin satin-column whiskers radiating outward from each side of the nose. Thirteen colours in this design, and honestly ya need em all.

This is a heavy stitch file. 79,115 on the full 6.21-inch size, density hitting 1,701. The fur texture is the reason, it takes alot of directional passes to get that short dense pug coat to actually look like fur rather than a flat fill. Down at the smallest size, 2.9 inches wide, it holds suprisingly well at 33,794 stitches and the wrinkle detail still reads clearly. Nine sizes, 13 colour changes. Dont rush this one.

In my experience pug owners are a specific and enthusiastic crowd. One buyer last autumn ordered 12 personalised tote bags with her dogs name below the face and they were christmas presents for the whole family. She told me the wrinkles were the thing that made em all laugh. Pop the 4-inch on a cream cotton tee and stitch the dogs name underneath in a simple running stitch font, its a proper custom gift.

Use a mesh cutaway stabiliser here, the density at 1,701 will definitely cause problems on a tearaway. Hoop very tight, the whisker satin columns especially need a stable ground or they bow. Run the speed slower for the directional fur sections. Best on white, cream, oatmeal or pale grey fabric where the fawn coat can show all thirteen colours. Avoid terracotta or tan fabric. Wont look right. Youll thank me later. Itll save ya a re-stitch.
