Drew up this design for the people who basically live on pumpkin spice lattes from september through halloween. The composition stacks a cold cup, a pumpkin lid, whipped cream, and three grinning jack-o-lanterns into one scene, it reads like a coffee shop window display had a halloween moment. Four colours: orange for the pumpkins, brown for the cup body warmth, a pale cream for the frothy top, black for every outline and that grinning pumpkin face on top. The cup has horizontal banding with a crosshatch texture suggesting the cold condensation you get on an iced drink. One customer asked me to send me message when the bigger sizes drop because she wanted the whole set for a fall kitchen.

Dense design. Density is 698 on the base size which puts it in heavy territory, so use a firm cutaway stabiliser. Dont try to get away with tearaway on this one. The 54 trims across 3 colour changes means the bobbin side needs checking at each stop. Punched through professional embroidery software so the layer order is clean and the underlay keeps the orange satin from sinking into the fabric. Pop the pale cream thread in last so it sits on top of the cup rather than beneath the outlines. Run a topping layer on any fabric with visible texture. Youll also want to hoop the fabric snug because the 35,651-stitch large size will shift a loose hoop.

Five sizes from 3.51 inches wide at 12,945 stitches up to 7.51 inches wide at 35,651 stitches. Best on natural linen or cotton canvas. Stitch it on a kitchen apron, add it to a reusable coffee sleeve, or run it on the front panel of a fall throw pillow. Pick the 5-inch or 7-inch size for anything bigger than a mug rug and youll see the full jack-o-lantern detail clearly. Dont try the smallest 3.51-inch size on anything finer than quilting cotton, the crosshatch detail on the cup wont hold and youll end up with a muddy mid-section.
