Sketched out 3 pumpkins sitting in a low cluster, the kind youd see on a farmstand table in late september or early october. The middle one is the tallest, the 2 on either side sit slightly lower, and they all overlap a little at the base which is what gives it that grouped-together feel rather than 3 separate shapes lined up. Each pumpkin has those rounded lobes with white satin rib lines running vertically between them, so theres actual visual depth to the fill, not just flat colour.

The green details are what finish it. Tall curling stems coming up from each pumpkin, little spiral vine tendrils, and proper autumn maple leaves in a few spots between the pumpkins. The leaves are the pointy 5-lobe maple shape, not a generic rounded leaf. Small round berries on thin stems complete the cluster. Its all in 2 colours but the composition is dense enough that it reads as a full harvest scene.

Density runs high at 865 stitches per square centimetre, which is why this is in the complex tier. professional digitising software laid the satin on the pumpkin bodies in proper layers so the orange comes out rich, not flat. At the largest size around 3.9 inches wide the pumpkin rib detail is sharp and the maple leaf veining holds. Stitch count goes from 9.7k at the smallest to just over 25.6k at the largest, with 1 colour change stop between orange and green.

Best on natural fabrics where the harvest colours really land. Cream linen, warm white cotton, oatmeal canvas, autumn rust or tan sweatshirt fleece all work well. Last autumn I had a customer message me saying she stitched this on a whole set of linen dish towels as thanksgiving gifts and every single person she gave them to asked where they came from. That kind of reaction is exactly what I made this design for. Hoop with a cutaway on fleece, use tear-away on stable linen and canvas. The density is substantial so use a sharp needle, a 75/11 or 80/12 for most wovens. Add topping on terry or textured fleece to keep the rib lines clean. Text me if the bobbin thread is showing on the satin face and Ill help you dial in the tension.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Autumn and Thanksgiving kitchen linens and dish towelsStitch on a set of cream linen dish towels for a fall kitchen refresh, the orange and green pop against natural linen beautifully
  • Fall farmhouse pillow covers and table runnersRun on a 20-inch pillow cover in oatmeal canvas for a farmhouse Thanksgiving centrepiece that works from september through november
  • Thanksgiving sweatshirts and apronsWorks on an apron front for Thanksgiving cooking or a fall bake sale, natural canvas or denim both handle the stitch density well
  • Autumn wreath embellishments and hoop artHoop in an 8-inch wooden frame with raw linen edges and hang it on a wreath or door display for autumn home decor
  • Fall market tote bags and canvas pouchesStitch on a canvas tote for autumn farmers market runs or fall craft fair vendor bags, the pumpkin cluster is wide enough to read from a distance
  • Seasonal home decor projects on linen and canvasUse on a linen table runner for Thanksgiving, repeat the design at intervals or run it as a single centrepiece motif
  • Thanksgiving kids outfits and bibsA customer who runs a fall boutique said this design on a cream sweatshirt was their best-selling item from september through the end of november last year

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
