Worked up this design because my niece wanted something halloween that wasnt actually scary. Comes in 5 sizes, the smallest at 3.51 inches wide. The pumpkin has a proper face, soft round eyes, not the carved triangle slots you see on every jack-o-lantern design, and a spiralling unicorn horn coming up from the top centre. Flowing down the side is a rainbow mane done in 5 colours, so youre looking at pumpkin orange, iridescent metallic horn, then the multi-colour mane sections. Its kinda the opposite of spooky and thats exactly the point.
5 colours total and I had it digitised through industry-grade software so the mane sections run directional satin fill so each colour stripe sits distinct. Density is 366, lighter than my typical halloween designs because the mane details need room to breathe and not merge into each other. 5 sizes from 3.51 inches wide at the smallest up to 7.51 inches wide at the largest. Stitch range goes from 7,051 on the small end to 18,967 stitches on the large. Heights go from 3.23 inches to 6.9 inches tall.
Reach out if the colour sequence isnt matching what you expected and Ill send you an updated file. A customer asked me last autumn to customise the mane colour order and it was an easy rebuild, so dont hesitate if you need something tweaked.
Stitch this on pastel pink jersey, cream cotton or lavender fleece. The 5 colours all pop better on light or pastel grounds. Use a tear-away stabiliser on a baby onesie since the density is low and it wont overstress the fabric. For a canvas tote or denim you can go to cutaway for extra hold.
Best on kids onesies, pastel tees, birthday party bags, unicorn-themed accessories and fall season totes. The size range means you can go small for a onesie chest or large for a tote panel.
