The whole design is seen from behind, which sounds like a strange choice but its actually what makes it work so well. You get the rounded back, the wide-set ears, the tail curling up, and none of the face. Just 2 colours: chocolate brown for the main body and a cream inner ear tone that gives the ears dimension. Stitch count goes from 23,533 at 3.5 inches all the way to 58,271 at 7.5 inches, and density sits at 1,112. my embroidery software ran the digitising and the directional fill on the back follows the body curve properly rather than filling flat across.

That density means you want a proper base under this one. Use medium-weight cutaway stabiliser on most fabrics, and go up to heavy cutaway if youre stitching on a knit or stretchy tote. The chocolate fill is dense enough that it can pull a lightweight woven if the backing isnt firm. Ive stitched the 5-inch run across a kraft canvas tote and the warm brown against that natural tan base looked really cohesive. Text me if youre unsure about stabiliser weight for your specific fabric and Ill point you in the right direction.

Nine sizes from 3.5 to 7-in baseline max. One customer asked me last week if the design works as a back pocket placement on jeans, it does, the 4-inch run on a rear pocket of most adult denim without overhanging. Stitch it low and centred on the pocket. The simple 2-colour palette also means its quick to set up, no complicated colour changes, just load chocolate then cream and go. Pair on deep navy, forest green, or charcoal for the most contrast. Suprisingly versatile for such a simple composition. One colour. Done mostly.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Canvas tote bags for everyday dog owner useAt 5.5 to 6 inches the design fills the front panel of a canvas tote cleanly -- great for dog walkers.
  • Back pocket embellishment on denim jeansThe 4-inch version fits a standard rear jeans pocket and the back-view concept suits the placement naturally.
  • Dog themed tea towels and kitchen linensWorks on a natural linen tea towel at 4 inches -- the chocolate thread reads well against cream or oatmeal linen.
  • Personalised puppy memorial gifts on cushionsThe understated back view composition reads as a memorial piece -- popular for custom cushion orders after pet loss.
  • Matching pet and owner accessories like matching bagsStitch identical designs on a tote and a small pouch for a matching set -- the 2-colour palette keeps it cohesive.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
