This kitten is purple, which immediately puts it in a different category to most cat designs. Its round. Its fluffy. Its sitting there with these enormous orange eyes and curly tufts poking out of its ears like it got caught in a gentle wind. And theres hearts floating around it, small pink ones at different sizes, which gives the whole thing a dreamy, lil bit magical feel.
Nine colours including the purple body, the lavender shadows, the white chest patch, the orange eye fills and those little heart shapes scattered around it. The fur texture is done with dense directional stitching going outward from the body centre which is what makes it look properly fluffy rather than a flat fill. And the curly ear tufts use a kinda loose satin column technique that makes em feel like actual messy fur. Stitch count runs up to about 65k running the largest, which is a fair chunk, but the density is spread well across the whole design.
Customers are buying this one for two main things: cat lovers who also love purple, and kids bedrooms with a fantasy or magical theme. My niece saw this one in my studio last autumn and basically refused to leave until I stitched one for her bedroom cushion. Its also been popular with cat-themed gift shops and small craft sellers doing personalised kids hoodies.
And theres absolutely nothing wrong with stitching this on a pale pink or lilac tee. The purple really pops on anything light. Back it with midweight cutaway behind, the dense fur sections need support. Avoid white and off-white backgrounds if you want the hearts to show, use pale pink or lavender where the pink hearts can read properly. Skip jersey for the biggest size, go for stable knit or woven cotton. Hoop tight.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
