Cloud with rainbow stripes dripping down like wet paint, born from someone in a crafting group asking why there wasnt a melting cloud that wasnt just a watercolour patch. She wanted actual structure, an actual cloud shape with proper drips. So I made one. Fluffy white cloud up top with rounded bumps across the crown, and hanging below it are 7 individual rainbow drips, each one a different colour of the spectrum going left to right.

The drips taper at the bottom into teardrop points, like the cloud is slowly melting into colour. my software handled the directional fill on the cloud body in white satin with a soft grey underlay that keeps the bobbin from showing at the edges, and each drip column runs in solid satin with clean colour breaks between them. 11 colours total but the transitions are simple since each drip is its own separate section, no mid-stitch colour blending needed.

This one sells consistently for kids nursery projects. A customer told me last summer she used the 5-inch design on a crib quilt panel and every person who came to visit asked where it was from. Theres something about the melting rainbow that reads fresh and modern rather than babyish, which is probably why Im seeing it ordered as much for adult tees and tote bags as nursery stuff. Works beautifully on white, cream, or pale blue fabric where the full 11-colour palette can show without any hues getting lost.

Use heavyweight cutaway stretch fabrics, tearaway on quilting cotton or canvas. Hoop the fabric snug since the drip columns are narrow and need the base to stay still through the colour changes. Skip black or dark fabric unless you want a neon-on-dark look, the white cloud body needs a pale base to read properly.

Send me a quick chat if any file gives you grief and Ill sort a replacement out same day. 9 sizes start at the 3.5 inch hoop and run to 7.5, with 10,208 to 24,692 stitches across the range.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
