Heres the rainbow crayon set and its 6 chunky crayons stacked in two rows of 3. Top row shows the pointed tips facing up, bottom row holds the flat ends, so the design reads like a half-used pack tossed onto a desk.
Colour line up is classic primary rainbow: red, orange, mustard yellow, kelly green, royal blue and purple. Each crayon body is a directional satin fill, stitch lines running along the crayons length so the colour reads ribbed instead of flat. The charcoal black paper wrap sits centred around each crayon with that little scoop where the wrap was peeled back, just like a real used crayon. Tips are pale tan satin caps.
I designed this for back to school season but ive been getting messages from homeschool mums and Sunday school teachers buying it for goody bag totes year-round. One customer last August ordered the 7 inch size for a classroom welcome banner and stitched 6 of them in a row across a cream cotton runner, kids loved it on the first day.
Stitch on cream, white, oatmeal or pale grey cotton for the cleanest crayon colour read. Soft sage works aswell for a calmer classroom palette. But dont reach for dark bases here, the yellow and orange muddy out hard on charcoal or navy. Skip patterned fabric too, the 6-colour line up needs flat fabric or its gonna read busy.
Stitch count is dense at 29k stitches on the biggest 7.51 inch size and 10k on the smallest 3.51 inch, alot of colour changes between the 6 crayon bodies. Use a heavy cutaway stabiliser on jersey or knit smocks, tear-away on woven cotton totes. Run a slower machine pace through the satin tips, the charcoal wrap to colour body transitions love to jump and youll see skipped stitches if tension is off. Send a chat note if your stitch density bunches on knit.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
